Alberto's Featured Wines

Alberto’s is pleased to feature wines from the Ferrari-Carano portfolio. Don and Rhonda Carano, since 1985, have been producing some of Sonoma’s best wines. Their care in the vineyards and in the winery and ageing cellars is reflected in each and every bottle they produce. We are proud to offer these wines to you for your enjoyment.

Ferrari-Carano Fume Blanc, Sonoma County

2010
Using Sauvignon Blanc grown in Russian River, Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys, this vintage is 100% Sauvignon Blanc aged 1/3rd in older French oak and 2/3rds in stainless steel. The resulting wine shows zesty flavors and aromas of orange blossom, grapefruit and lemon, with a subtle mineral note, complemented by a lingering finish of guava and pineapple.

Ferrari-CaranoTré Terre Chardonnay

2010
This Chardonnay from Russian River Valley is a full-bodied wine with delicious aromas of  citrus, pear, peach, and mineral notes complemented by rich flavors of apple, fig, nutmeg, and brown sugar spice. An elegant wine with rich fruit, the Tré Terre Chardonnay is perfectly balanced with nice acidity and depth. Match with a wide variety of appetizers and food such as shellfish and poultry dishes.

Paul Dolan “Deep Red”

2007
Deep Red has ripe, round, red fruit aromas and deep flavors with complex earthy spice notes. When you stand in our vineyard and taste this wine, you know its home. As Biodynamic  farmers, our passion and mission is to create and support a healthy, vibrant environment for our grapes to fully express themselves. And when maturity is reached, the grapes from this site uniquely express this place...their home...our home.

2010 Pinot Noir, Belle Glos “Meiomi”

Produced by Caymus
This wine is a blend of fruit from Sonoma’s bright berry flavors; Santa Barbara’s spicy notes; and Monterey’s opulence and earthy quality all contribute to the broad, yet balanced profile of “Meiomi”. This is an extremely layered wine both in structure and flavor. These layer’s emerge
independently, and then refocus, allowing the supple tannins to carry the wine through to a lingering succulent finish.

Siena, Sonoma County

2009
Reflecting their Italian heritage “Siena” is a blend of Sangiovese 78% and Malbec 22%. Fruit  is sourced from their Alexander Valley, Dry Creek and Russian River Valley vineyards. Aged in 20% new Hungarian puncheons and 80% older French oak for 12 months, the wine has deliciously fruited aromas of red and blackberry preserves, with notes of cinnamon, mocha and cedar. A vibrant palate is excited by the juicy black cherry, raspberry jam and fresh mint, rounded out by a smooth finish of caramel and spice. Pair with savory Italian dishes, pasta with flavorful tomato sauces, chicken, lamb, pork and beef.

2009 Cabernet Sauvignon

Alexander Valley
The fruit for our 2009 Ferrari-Carano Cabernet Sauvignon comes primarily from mountain-grown fruit in Alexander Valley. With aromas of blackberry jam, baking spices, pure maple syrup and black tea, this wine delights with rich delicious flavors of caramel, espresso and dark chocolate. A juicy and full midpalate, rich, mouth-coating tannins and excellent depth characterize this lovely Cabernet Sauvignon. Enjoy this wine with red meats and all grilled and smoked foods.
